[SOLVED] convert CTG to anim
I got some lineart on a layer called "Frau" (marked black), underneath I got a layer called "Fraufill" (marked red) containting just a bit of blue color to fill big gaps in the lineart.
Then I choosed the lineart layer and created a new CTG layer. There I choosed both layer above as source.
I created all the filling (which is a joy with this layertype btw) but I still need to correct some small details manually. So I decided to convert my CTG layer to an anim layer.
But after converting it all the heads are messed up (marked yellow)
Did I something wrong or is this a bug?
I'm not sure if this is a question for the regular TVP 11 thread, but I thought it might get confusing if I ask such questions there.

Re: convert CTG to anim
I tried with 3 different files : Make anim works well.
What is happening if you extract colors (instead of making anim) ? In my case, the only change I could notice was the exposure : if I had several instances to color the same image from my source (for example, 3 instances to color one instance from the source with exposure = 3), extra instances got merged, so the timing between colors and source are the same.
----
Edit : I had a problem with a layer with 1 color + exclusion : when I make anim, I lose the timing. But in my case, I got more instances (contrary to you).
Edit2 : well, actually, it's not really a problem : it creates instances following the source above. In your case, images disappear....
I see your CTG layer has 2 sources. Maybe the CTG layer follows the structure of one of the source and not both.
If possible, I'd like to have a copy of your file.

Re: convert CTG to anim
I forgot I could choose "extract color" too. This way it works quite well. It creates some needless heads and some are not on the frame they should be, but they are all there.
But if I choose "Make anim" everything gets messed up. I tried it on another project with just one source and it works flawlesly.
I guess the reason is, that I got two sources, with a different amount and placement of heads.
But it would be nice if this works too. Maybe you could take a look at the file.

Re: convert CTG to anim
Sorry, to pump up an old thread, but this problem is still happening. Because CTG layer isn't recognized on tvPaint 10 version, having anim layers is kinda important. So any news on this fix?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Re: convert CTG to anim
if you are talking about the Schwarzgrau bug, it should have been fixed in the 11.0.2.Aruuna wrote:Sorry, to pump up an old thread, but this problem is still happening. Because CTG layer isn't recognized on tvPaint 10 version, having anim layers is kinda important. So any news on this fix?

if you are talking about recognizing CTG in the v10 : it will not be done, there is no way to change the v10 code to do so.

For TVPaint 10 there is still the option to use the Lazy Brush plug-in which has many of the same functions as CTG layers in TVPaint 11.
http://www.lazy-brush.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm not sure if files created in TVPaint 10 with Lazy Brush plug-in can then be opened later in TVPaint 11 and have those layers show up as CTG layers ?

Re: convert CTG to anim
In the v11 you have an option to convert an anim layer into a CTG layer. So it should work, except maybe for the BG color which is not handled in the same way. That said, it saves a lot of time anyway.D.T.
