Perspective Guide ptII

The guide-layers are pretty useful, but often I got a perspective, which would be a perfect fit for the perspective guide, but I had to move the guide points far to much away, cause the perspective is to flat.
So I thought about another type of guide:

You draw two lines in the Y axis

Then the grid gets interpolated by these two lines.

I don't know if something like this is easily integratabtle in TVPaint, but it would be really helpful.

I've seen some plugins for photoshop that can do the same. Would be nice while storyboarding also to have more feeling while setting the perspective while drawing (4 lines for 2 vanishing points?).

I've used the perspective tool quite often by now. The enhancement that Schwarzgrau suggest looks very useful for storyboarding.

Those new enhancements in the perspective tool are absolutely fantastic! (Since 11.0.8 ) Constructing layouts with vanish points from one, two or three lines works so much faster and easier than the previous method. Would it perhaps be possible to add circles and ellipses tied to vanish points with the same ease, I wonder...?

Yeah this is a great addition!
It would also be nice for the 2pt grid to have a line going from one point to another, to serve as a horizon line. And the vertical grid could be following this.
Also could be nice to have a grid following the perpective of the points like in the exemple above, could help a lot to have "true perspective grids" generated from this

Slightly ripped the brain))) tools plug-in for Photoshop)) looks like a complex multi-pass stage of a simple process. OK. I thought just files with grids)
I like this simple version of the tool in Procreate:

this is the most interesting thing I've seen for quickly creating a grid. But it's not so convenient in TVPaint.
I'm waiting for improvement.

It seems like this topic was solved by the new Vanishing Point tool, but I still can't figure out how to create a grid like I showed in my first example.
Here is an example where I could really need a grid on the floor for making the people walk in the scene (actually the temp background was made in Blender, which would make it easy to create a grid there, but I find myself in similar situations pretty often.)

That's brilliant Peter! Thank you for this simple solution. I would still really love to have a simple grid, which works exactly this way, since I still need to draw a perfect grid and than deform it, but this solution already works great in so many cases.

yes i agree, i think this would be a good way to formulate this request.:

In the guideline panel we need a grid option with the same ui input as the old perspective tool.
And even if you dont use the perspective aspect of it it would still be a very usefull way to set up a custom grid.

The grid UI with a drag-and-adjust gimmick? Cool! (Additionally to the numerical input. And with some way to stay rectangular if I wish.)

And while we're at it: I really miss an easy way to have a grid start at the center of the screen. A simple checkbox would suffice.

(And how about other grids? Like, polar? Triangular?)
