You should update to TVPaint Animation 11.0.1, the crash with the Inlay Texture has been fixed in it.

you should be able to use the menu [Help > Check for update].
If not, use this link : http://www.tvpaint.com/update.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with your lock and unlock codes.

Im using TV Paint 11.7 and have the same problem. I wanted to ckeck the "inlay Texture" effect and the pragram crashed. I tried several times. Every time the same happened. should I totally forget this effect or anyone has a solution for it?

Are you accessing the Inlay Texture effect through the menu or by opening the FX Stack by clicking the "magic hat" icon in the upper toolbar?

I recall a few weeks ago some people reported an issue with the first version of 11.7.1 where opening an FX via the menu caused TVPaint to crash. I believe the issue has been fixed in the latest build of version 11.7.1 (released Dec. 22, 2022 ; if yours is before Dec. 22, 2022, updating should fix the issue)

It seems that someone forgot to update the Demo version , because I downloaded the Demo version today (Jan. 22, 2023) to check it and I can see the date is Oct. 27, 2022. So the available demo version is not the most recent version of TVPaint updated on Dec. 22, 2022. Hopefully TVPaint will email your license code soon and you can update it to the latest version 11.7.1 released on Dec. 22, 2022. I think that will fix the crashing problem wth the FX Stack.

it shows that it is from Oct. 27, 2022 -
