I have a question about import a 24fps mov clip (playblasted from Maya) to TVPaint trying to draw on top.
Is there a way I can import it so it is on 1s instead of 2s? I tried messing around with the import setting, with time interpolation on, stretch to fr rate etc. Sometimes I get it on 1s with occasional extra holds, sometimes on 2s. What would be the correct setting, if it's possible?

Usually any imported video is on 1's: each frame of the video is one frame in TVP, as long as the FPS setting is the same (24 FPS in video and in TVP).

If you have a video of some animation which was done on 1's, the import still works the same. After importing you can use "Recompute frames" in TVP. It looks for identical frames and converts them to instances and exposures. Accuracy of result depends on compression of video. See manual for details.

Both the video clip and TVP import are set to 24fps. The clip was already imported on 2s from the start, so "recompute frames" won't work.

By the way, I'm using TVPaint 10 Pro.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your request.

As I said, unless you're importing an uncompressed video, no two frames will be pixel-accurate alike. Therefore you need to use Recompute with a threshold. See manual, experiment. There will still be frames which you have to adjust manually.
