Re: interesting new image standard
sounds really interesting to me. Hope some developers will start to support it, when it's finished.

Unfortunately, commercial software like us just can't : It's GPL ... not LGPL.schwarzgrau wrote:sounds really interesting to me. Hope some developers will start to support it, when it's finished.

I see... you'd have to go opensource to be able to offer it...crazy.Fabrice wrote: Unfortunately, commercial software like us just can't : It's GPL ... not LGPL.

The basic and binary way of thinking, which is unfortunately often :
is really boring at some point."there are only two options : being a big dev company such as Adobe, Autodesk, etc ... or being an OpenSource/Free software like Gimp or Blender"
In the same way : not everybody can afford to pay patents, not everybody can live with a free product.
At least, having a middle position between two extremes is interesting and challenging.

In fact, FLIF is not under GPL license v3, but the default implementation is (https://github.com/jonsneyers/FLIF" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
Re: interesting new image standard
If so, it's really cool.
I should have searched deeper.
