Importing 2 TVP projects into one master TVP project

Hello clever people,
I am trying to import a few 2 TVP projects into one new project but I can't seem to work out how. The projects I want to import are 2 scenes that follow on from each other and I want to see them running together. I thought it might be via the project tab used for storyboarding but without much joy. I've checked the tutorials and this forum but can't seem to find the answer. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thx
Joanna

Open both projects. Go to project view in both.
In source project, select the clip you want to copy (RMB, "select clip"), then copy (cmd-C).
In target project, RMB into clip and select "paste after".
Save.

Thanks. I've followed your instructions and I now have the 2 clips in the project area but when I go to the timeline it only shows the selected clip. How can I show both clips in the timeline? thx

You can only see the content of one clip at a time. You can, of course, in project view have both clips play back continuously.
If you need to have the content of both clips in one, there's only the way to copy the frames layer by layer, I'm afraid. (Maybe this could be scripted? Maybe someone already did?)

Me too. Maybe someone should create a new "Conten sharing" topic, with all the scripts, brushes etc. If it's ok I would try to create such a topic and extend it over time.

Such a useful tool , but so easily overlooked . Like many of TVPaint's useful tools it remains hidden until discovered through a post such as this on the forum. Notably if you search the User Manual for "Merge Clips" or "Merging Clips" or "Merge Clip" there are no results. Where it is found is under "Changing Clips or Scenes" .
http://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index. ... age-change" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is another argument in favor of a pdf version of the manual , because a PDF is much more searchable by phrase or word. In the PDF of the TVPaint 10 User Manual a search for "Merge Clips" finds it immediately. But if a PDF is no longer practical , then the search engine for the online documentation needs to be improved.

Now, when you search inside the online documentation:
_ if the exact search text is found, no problem
_ if the exact search text is NOT found, search again through every words of the text
