[SOLVED] How to delete a camera?

I created a camera for my clip, but noticed afterwards that I don't need a camera. I just don't know how I delete it, since I found nothing about it on the manual or in the forum (just this thread, but it's not really helpful)

EDIT: by the way I'm talking about the "camera tool"-camera

The only way is to disable camera view in "display". It's available in the remote, at the bottom left corner.

I understand how annoying you feel about it, but this behaviour will be hard to change :s

No it's ok to know you can't delete the camera, even if I wonder why? In my case I added the camera by purpose, but if you accidentally hit the button you get a camera you can't remove.

The reason is simple and very silly : when you want to enable the camera, you must hit the camera tool icon . So, you cannot deactivate the camera view while you are actually in "camera tool" mode.
You should actually quit the camera tool when resetting it, but how can you quit something that is activated automatically when you click on the aforementioned icon ? (I don't know if you understand what I mean)

There is a kind of paradox right here and changing the initial behaviour (hitting the camera icon = activating camera view) is much more complicated than it seems.

For me the camera is "always there" in tvpaint, you don't really create it. You just choose to diplay it or not. But there is always a camera, the same way in after effect you have a composition independant from your pixels. If you don't move it it's just your resolution :)

Good point.

Yes, you are right Nathan, the camera is actually there, even if you don't hit the camera tool button. But the issue remains the same : you cannot hide the viewfinder while being using the option that enables it.

I found myself in a similar situation and after reading this post wasn't much wiser. In case someone else failed to find the solution to the camera problem, check out the image attached.
