Help! Weird Right Mouse Button issue.

i can't figure out what it is but it only happens in tvpaint.

The right click function which i have assigned to my front rocker switch is no longer working in tvpaint.
this means i can no longer open the layer menu or erase with the RMB the way i used to!
RMB does work with my mouse but no longer on my cintiq pen.
i first thought the switch was maybe physically was broken, but in other software it acts normal.
i tried the wacom settings panel but nothing irregular there either, the "tvpaint" settings are identical to those in "other apps".
anyone have any idea what it could be?

Sorry , no clue from me ; everything is working normally here (Mac OS 10.9.5 , TVPaint 11.0.2 - release and beta).
I also have my front pen switch set for RMB .

I'm just chiming in on this to confirm that I don't have the issue on the Mac version , so perhaps that is an indication that
the issue is isolated to the Windows version.

That is very strange (and I don't think this happened to me before)
Did you try with a new configuration ?

I have a stupid question related to this : How does one know that click and hold on Right Mouse Button activates ERASER mode ? I mean , I picked that trick up somewhere along the line here on the forum, but I was trying to explain this the other day to a student, how to set up the Wacom pen so that the front switch is Right Click , which allows you to ERASE if you click and hold , and in doing so I noticed again that there is no mention of this in the User Manual (here: http://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index. ... ils-eraser" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) and if you look at Erase mode in the other tools the keyboard shortcut referenced is F4 , not RMB.

Also , in the list of Keyboard Shortcuts in Preferences RMB is not shown as an option for ERASE (but "F4" is listed). And if I hover my cursor over the Eraser Tool in the interface the pop up says: "Eraser Brush. Like a real eraser" but it does NOT say "shortcut RMB" . The pop-up should list the shortcut as RMB or Right-Click .

So, I ask: how does a new user of TVPaint 11 , who doesn't hang out here at the forum and extensively search through old forum posts, find out how they can set their Wacom pen switch to Right Click to be able to activate the ERASE mode (and also to enable pop up menus with Right-Click ) ?

The attachment Eracer_tool.jpg is no longer available
I understand that the Wacom Pen button can be set to Eraser mode ... (see screen shot of mine) but my question above was HOW is the new user of TVPaint expected to discover this useful function , because using Right-Click to activate ERASER is not referenced in the User Manual (as far as I can find by searching) . All long-time users of TVPaint seem to know about this function (Right-Click = ERASER) , but it's not listed in the User Manual or in the list of Keyboard Shortcuts in the Preferences, so I can not even tell you how I first found out how to do this , except by hanging around here on the forum and picking it up from posts by other experienced users ... but I don't think that the majority of TVPaint users actively participate in the forum, so HOW would they ever discover this function, except by accident ? Or am I missing something in the User Manual where this is covered ?

that did the trick,thanks Thierry!

very weird though, it means some setting in the config caused this or is it a bug of sorts?

Yes.
Do you still have the "old" config ? If yes, can you send it to me so I'll be able to find what's wrong ?

Me "Hmm, RMB=eracer function can not call directly ... well, let me try the function possibility for assign to Wacom driver keystroke mode".
In my region, almost newcomers will ask for SNS like Twitter, Skype and Facebook private message mode in their circle.
Or am I missing something in the User Manual where this is covered ?
No. I read the online manual "erace mode" article again, there are nothing to explain that.
