Custom Brush Erase Issues

Hello,
I often use the side-Button of my Wacom-Pen to erase my strokes. This works fine with any drawing tools, except the Custom Brush. When using a Custom Brush I am only able to erase the strokes I did, before I used another tool or changed the layer (and came back) or changed the frame (and came back). Behaves on TVPaint 10.5.7 Pro and 11.0.2 Pro, both Win 7 64.
For me it is an irritating inconsistence between the drawing tools and I would like to ask, if it is possible to make the custom brush erasing like the other tools?
Thanks!

I only use F2/F4 keys to switch between draw and erase, and with that all my custom brushes erase as expected (on Mac).

Yes, I know those other several ways on how to delete your brush and how to use erasers. When sketching or working very fast, I prefer the sidebutton of the wacom Pen. My hand is mostly in action with zooming anf other stuff. F2 and F4 is a little bit out of focus for me.
However - do you know any reason for the special erase behaviour of the custom brush? Is it a feature for something? I don't think so.

I think it was intended to work like that - kind of a "local undo". But since I never use it that way I could be wrong.

Yeah I've had this problem too! It's totally unpredictable. On older versions of TVP it works on the whole drawing. In 11 it seems very selective in what it deletes. Its perplexing... Any advice admins?

You must enable "drying" option.

Wow, yeah, this works. Thanks!
Mhm? OK, I don't get the logic behind it. But the other drawing tools seems to work the same way so there is no inconstistency between them.

OK, after thinking some minutes about it, I got the logic of beeing able to just erase the last (not already dried) strokes while keeping the older ones untouched. That makes sense in some situations.
