TVPaint and Cintiq 24 HD touch rings?

I'm using a Cintiq 24 HD and trying to figure out how to program the touch rings so that I can use them to: 1) control the brush size, and 2) to rotate the drawing area.
Does anyone know whether TVPaint supports the touch ring function on a 24 HD Cintiq? If so, can you tell me how I can program those functions?

Thanks,
-Bruce

You have to assign a shortcut key to those actions, then call them through the Wacom drivers.

Thanks Fabrice, but where I'm confused is in looking at the "available keyboard shortcuts and commands" at the end of the end of the TVP User Guide, for "Tools Brush: Increase Size" the command next to it is "Wheel Up". And for decreasing the brush size the command is "Wheel Down".
How does one translate "Wheel Up", and "Wheel Down" into programmable key commands?

If those don't work with the Wacom driver, just assign other keys to it.

On my older Cintiq I have ribbon controllers which correspond to the mouse wheel. Since I was always accidentially changed brush size, I deactivated them.

Have you tried setting the touch ring to scroll?

You can change the TVP shortcuts to something else, for example ctrl+shit+[ (decrease) and ctrl+shift+] (increase) and set that as a keystroke to the touch ring.

For rotate, set a modifier to one of the ExpressKeys for ctrl+alt, or if you use Mac whatever the rotate shortcut is.

Works for me.

Slowtiger and Jet,
That was very helpful. The touch rings are working now. Thanks so much for your help!

I mapped the eraser and the right-click on the buttons of my pen. This way you can map ALT to one of your cintiq buttons and zoom step less, cause if you hold ALT and RIGHT CLICK you can zoom by moving your cursor left to right.

Great idea, Schwarzgrau. Thank you for that!
