Very clear to me now. I think this addition should be appreciated by a number of animators; I know I would like to use it at times..

@ momo : the Light table is not enable.... :D

You must click on the little black dot under the light bulb on the layer stack => the little black dot will become a big yellow one and so, you will see the marked images through the light table.

I think m. must have had it off only when he took the screen print. Otherwise his point is valid in that he wants to have the option of seeing not just the instances marked by one color but all colors. The different color markings are useful when laying out the animation key poses, but when drawing inbetweens one sometimes needs to see all the marked instances through the light table process.

Yes exactly. :D

I just was wondering in the keyboard shortcut panel under "image marks" there is "next" what does this configure? (see screen grab) Should it go through all marked images? I tried to use this shortcut but it seems to go through every frames.

Wow I must say it is the first time I actually can talk to someone from the software ( unlike adob%* or toonBoo*#$) I am using and they are listening to questions and thoughts! Incredible! Thanks a lot, you guys are wondeful!

You have to find the number of the color you have selected and assign that to a key (or custom panel panel action you would make yourself) to have the cursor advance from instance to instance, marked with that color. There is nothing to make this happen on all instances.

You are welcome ^^

But of course, even if something is in the todolist, it does not mean it will be added instantaneously. Some features are long to add and need weeks, months or even years to be added in the software :)

TVPaint Animation is currently developed by only 4 developers : they must support all versions (Windows, Mac, Linux and Android), plus fix important bugs and create new features... A lot of things to do ! :D

Good things take time. 4 people  ... cheers to that!

Good news momo : actually, the feature already exists, but it was not named properly.

When you select "image mark" in the light table, choose the "default" option.

In the next release, it will be renamed "all".

Are you sure?
If I have this setting in lighttable
imageMarks.JPG
imageMarks.JPG (38.21 KiB) Viewed 20922 times
And use this Keyboard shortcut
imageMarks_2.JPG
imageMarks_2.JPG (89.15 KiB) Viewed 20922 times
It actually skips the image marks. Isnt that a bug.
Or am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding something

Mads, your problem looks different from what Momo was asking for.

Is it still relative to the light table, or do you have only a problem with the shortcuts ?

I was trying to test what momo is asking for
momo wrote:
I was trying to go through all my image marks (all colors) using a shortcut. But instead it goes through all the non marked images. I have found that if I click on the arrows (to go through all the image marks) in the Image mark panel it works properly.
And as far as I understand Momo is saying when using the keybord shortcurts
"ImageMarks:Next" and "ImageMarks:Previous" they are actually skipping the Imagemarks. So I am reporting the same thing.
Of course this is the expected result when the lighttable image maeks is set to "default". But how do we get a keyboard short cut to move between all imagemarks.(exept default.)
And how do your responce solve momos problem?

I means changing the name from default to all, is not enough the behaviour should also change, or am I misunderstanding something?

Excuse me Mads, I need more sleep

Yes, you're right, the behaviour is strange, because it should move between all marked images.

Let's report this !

I guess it actually dous what it should, moves between the images with theimage mark "default". This is why it looks like it actually skips the image marks.

So what would be nice is a new feature "all" that moves between the image marks but not "default",

thinking about it instead of "default" it shouls be called "None", Because thats what I think it is.
