The lag is fixed for the next version, and Safenet should release the next version of their drivers (7.4.2) soon.

Hi, this is the great news, only, will the next version be available any time soon?

At the moment the only thing preventing me for updating to Yosemite is TVPaint respectively the Safenet drivers.
Is TVPaint already usable under Yosemite? Especially the fullscreen solution which
Chillrobski mentioned wouldn't be possible with the 32bit version I guess.

I am not crazy about jumping to Yosemite myself, but since new iMac has it pre installed and they don't recommend downgrading it due to some other possible problems, it seems I am forced to use Yosemite. So, that's why I would appreciate some date of releasing the new version. Enlight us, Thierry, please

Everything is working fine here, as long as I work fullscreen. Otherwise the Wacom lag makes drawing impossible.

As Fabrice said on
this topic, it shouldn't be long from now
However, I see in your signature that you work with the 64-bits version, so in the meantime you should use fullscreen mode.

Concerning the Safenet drivers, I have no idea when they will release them (the issue is only happening with the network licences)
Otherwise, TVPaint is usable under Yosemite. Indeed, with the 32-bits version you can't go in fullscreen mode, but the lag in the 32-bits is less annoying.

Hehe "less annoying" sounds promising. I'll try it on my homecomputer. Thank you Thierry.
Just to understand it correctly: Will there be a small, less annoying lag in the future, if I use the 32bit version in combination with Yosemite, cause Yosemite didn't work that well with 32bit applications or is this something which will propably been fixed some day?

I didn't fully understand what you meant
There is still a lag in the 32-bits version, but far less annoying than the one in the 64-bits. In the 64-bits you loose some information (as seen in the screenshot I posted in the original post), but in the 32-bits you loose far less informations.
It is however fixed in TVPaint Animation 11.0.0.

Sorry Thierry, I guess my question was a bit confusing. That happens often, since I'm always translating the sentences a bit to straight from german.
However, you answered my question nontheless.
I'm sorry to keep asking, but this means TVPaint 11 will work with Yosemite, no matter if you use the 32bit or the 64bit version, but will there be an update for TVPaint 10 before you release TVPaint 11?

I just want to report that I didn't noticed any lag at all while using TVPaint 32bit on Yosemite.

Thank you for the report . That is good to know. Maybe now I will update to Yosemite (Apple Software Update pesters me every day to update to Yosemite and I always have to click on "Remind Me Again Tomorrow" , because the option of "Remind me again in One Week" or "Remind me again in a Month" is not there) .

I second that question because if the problem is fixed only on 11 and there is no plan for the 10.5 update, that means, as I remember from TVP10, that I have to buy a new licence, and it would be painful for my wallet.

or, maybe, 11 will be free for 10 licence owners? I hope it will. Or at least upgrade will be less expensive then 10. This is it, for my wishes, dear Santa.

I am confirming what is already said. On a new iMac 5k retina display the 32 bit version flies compared to the 64 bit version which is lagging terribly. So, for now, I will use the 32 bit version. Looking forward for the news

Check this :

You can try to work full screen on the 64 bits version.

Hey Fabrice, I did, and my pointer is sometimes centimeter ahead of the line which is producing. It is following round shapes, accurately, but legendary TVP response time decreased dramatically which makes it very difficult to work.
